IT'S business as usual at Brixton tube station on the Victoria line after asbestos was successfully removed from the building.
A full tube service is up and running between Walthamstow Central and Brixton and passengers can buy tickets as usual from Brixton station.
John Doyle, London Underground's Victoria line general manager, said: "Metronet did a great job working around the clock to complete the work ahead of schedule and we were able to open the station prior to most commuters returning to work in early 2004.
"I am pleased we have been able to open the station quickly and safely to allow the modernisation to continue. We are sorry for the disruption caused while the work took place."
