ORIENT boss Martin Ling is yet to sound out potential target Poul Hubertz about a move to Brisbane Road, as two more names could be in the frame to solve his big striker search.

The O's boss confirmed yesterday that the 6ft 5ins Danish striker was one of the names that would interest him.

"He (Hubertz) would be the type of striker we are looking at," stated Ling.

"We've got a list of strikers that we are looking at and he is one of the names that comes to mind."

Ling is however yet to make a concrete move to sound out the powerful frontman, even though it has been reported that after being released by Northampton that Hubertz intended to head back to his homeland to play out the remainder of his career.

And it appears that Ling is yet to make contact with the players representatives, as he may wish to sound out other potential targets first.

One name that is rumoured to interest the Orient manager is Adebayo Akinfenwa.

The much travelled striker coincidently also played for Northampton last season following a brief stint at Millwall at the start of the campaign.

The 25-year-old, who had a brief and unsuccessful trial period at Brisbane Road during the 2003-04, has since gone onto prove himself as fearsome striker in the lower leagues, particularly at Torquay and Swansea.

And after hitting seven goals in just 13 starts at the Sixfield Stadium, Ling could well be tempted to move for a player who grew up locally in Walthamstow and is yet to sign a new contract with the Cobblers.

Another name that is also believed to be on the O's manager's list is Colchester striker Jamie Guy.

The 6ft 1ins frontman made just 13 appearances at Layer Road last season, and while he is still under contract could be allowed to leave having struggled to carve out a reputation for himself in the U's first team since making his debut in 2005.
