The rural scene of Hemnall Street in Epping with cows grazing on the green was taken c1895.
To the right stood the estate of Theydon Grove.
The last owners of the estate were the Silley family who gifted much to the people of Epping including the Stonards Hill Recreation Ground and the Jack Silley Pavilion.
The estate was demolished in the 1960s in favour of a housing estate.
