Two horseshoes on the front of the shop (centre) can just be made out in the photograph of Epping High Street in the swinging sixties.
This marked the location of the old town's Blacksmith run by R G Clark.
It is said that they were asked to move the business to Hemnall Street in the late 1950s because of the smell and mess it created.
