SOUGHT-AFTER Sporting Lisbon star Miguel Veloso admits there was no offers made for him before the transfer deadline shut on Monday.
Arsenal and Tottenham are both keen admirers of the combatative midfielder, and were both widely tipped to make a bid to land the Portugal international.
However, the 22-year-old revealed no bids were put on the table, and then insisted that he never contemplated leaving the Estadio Jose Alvalade anyway.
"I never thought about leaving Sporting to join another club," said Veloso, who has also been linked with Manchester United this year.
"In addition, I have signed a contract until June 2013 and I will give the maximum to the team.
"To be honest I didn't pay much attention to the news published in the press regarding my future this summer.
"Frankly I'm aware of the fact English clubs are following me but I say again that I didn`t speak with anybody and the club didn't receive offers.
"Right now my present is important to me, not my future."
